BIOGRAPHY

GREGORY CREWDSON

(1962-Present)

Crewdson is an American photographer who is widely recognized for his staged, surreal scenes of American homes and neighborhoods. He was born in Park Slope, a neighborhood in Brooklyn. In the mid 1980s, he studied photography at SUNY Purchase. He also received his Master of Fine Arts from Yale University. He has taught at Sarah Lawrence, Cooper Union, Vassar College and Yale University where he has been on the faculty since 1993.
