Self-taught artist, Stan Munro is one of the most sought after toothpick-sculptors in the world. A master of the medium, Munro incorporates architecture as his primary, artistic focus. With extreme precision, he utilizes mathematics to replicate, in toothpicks, complex building structures in 1:164 scale model form. His sculptural accomplishments include the construction of Toothpick World, and Toothpick City, both of which comprise more than sixty buildings in a single installation. These highly detailed works emulate architectural phenomenon in city centers around the globe, e.g., The Freedom Tower, Yankee Stadium, Eiffel Tower, the Atomic Dome, Japan, the Lotus Temple, India, the Parthenon, Greece, to name a few of hundreds.
