Drawing inspiration from the Hudson River School and the Luminists, his painting \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eEastern Sky \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eis distinguished by its masterful use of light, color, and atmosphere, transforming a familiar scene into timeless meditations on place.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCatherine Howe\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is widely admired for her painterly works that are an amalgam of materials that reference both the baroque and nature. Drawing from nature, Howe’s paintings are influenced by New York School abstraction, as well as rococo and 17th century Dutch still life paintings. Showcasing strength and vibrancy, Howe’s paintings are exercises in the evocative power of paint as a material.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJoseph McGurl\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is extensively regarded as one of America's leading landscape painters. Designated a 'Living Master' by the Art Renewal Center, his work is often likened to the great 19th century luminist painters, but with a modern sensibility to style and subject. Informed by his muralist father and experiences as a sailor, his work captures marine and landscape scenes throughout the East Coast, including the coastal landscapes of his native Massachusetts. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRobert Natkin\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eemerged as a distinctive voice in mid-century American abstraction. His early exposure to nonrepresentational painting and the rise of Abstract Expressionism shaped his lifelong interest in expressive color and texture. Combining a bold fauvist palette with Pop Art aesthetics, Slonem’s work features his iconic menagerie of bunnies, birds, and butterflies alongside an ever-expanding vocabulary of nature-inspired imagery. His distinctively lush, painterly style continues to push boundaries while remaining recognizable across the
