Madelyn Jordon Fine Art is pleased to present "Recent Acquisitions" at the gallery in Scarsdale, NY. The group exhibition includes paintings, works on paper and photographs by over 15 artists working in a variety of time periods, genres and media, the only common thread being that these are works which the gallery has acquired in the past six months. Participating artists include the established and emerging, and span over a century. Highlights of the exhibition from the first half of the 20th century include paintings by American artists Ernest Fiene, Henry August Schwabe, Eugene Speicher, Louise Eleanor Zaring and George Drew.
Exhibition highlights from Modern and Contemporary artists include several 1940"s drypoint etchings by American modernist Milton Avery, several late paintings by American abstract artist Stanley Boxer, and works on paper by Contemporary artist Ross Bleckner,and Sam Francis. Photographers Elliot Erwitt, Ralph Gibson, Andrezj Pluta and Vik Muniz are photographers represented in the show.
