More about

Amy Feigley-Lee

AMY FEIGLEY-LEE (b. 1979) is a Detroit-based contemporary artist whose work reimagines geometric abstraction through dynamic wall sculptures and intricate collages. Her works transcend traditional craft by creating entirely new shapes and forms that push the boundaries of perception. Drawing inspiration from geometric minimalism, Feigley-Lee’s work merges clean lines with the vibrant patterns of vintage wallpaper, balancing minimalist precision with decorative complexity. Using wood as her primary sculptural medium, she constructs layered, multidimensional geometric compositions that challenge perspective from every angle. Her art finds a unique interplay between opposing forms—minimalism and ornamentation—crafting works that are both visually striking and intellectually engaging.

Amy's work has been exhibited at the Freud Museum in London England, The Daimler Chrysler World Headquarters in Berlin Germany, and The American University in Cairo, Egypt. Her work is held in the private collections of renowned interior designer, Lois Wienthal, as well as Philanthropists Sue and Allan Jay Kaufman, Mercedes Benz, Farmington Hills, MI, and Grand Valley State University. She holds the title of Special Lecturer of Studio Art at Oakland University in Rochester Michigan where she has been teaching for nearly 15 years.
